Joyce Yang

Joyce graduated with a Bachelor of Music major in Violin and Piano Performance from Nanjing University of the Arts in China.

Before moving to New Zealand, Joyce played the first violin section in the Philharmonic Orchestra of Jiangsu Province. At the same time, Joyce was a tenure music teacher in Nanjing Echo-Forte International School, worked in the primary school department as a music classroom teacher and secondary school departments teaching violin lessons.

Joyce moved to New Zealand in 2012. She is now a mother of two children. Joyce joins the teaching team of Blockhouse Bay School of Music in 2022. Joyce is enthusiastic about playing chamber music, and she enjoys teaching all fiddle students, from beginners to advanced performance diplomas.
